  • This teapot is made by the traditional pottery style of Kiyomizu-yaki from Kyoto. The Kiyomizu-yaki pottery style was historically made at the foot of the famous Kiyomizu Temple in Kyoto.

    • A small teapot without neither a handle nor a strainer makes this so unique and interesting.
    • Shiboridashi ( 絞り出し ) loosely translated means “to squeeze out”.
    • Slits along the spout coupled with a relatively tight lid functions as a strainer, as though "to squeeze out" the tea.
