[Key Conditions for Organic JAS Certification] To obtain Organic JAS certification, one must meet strict standards set by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. For the production of this product, the following conditions have been achieved:

  • Field Management Standards: The tea fields (farm plots) have not used chemically synthesized pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or other prohibited materials for at least two years (or three years for perennial crops like tea) prior to the start of organic cultivation. Furthermore, clear distinctions are maintained to prevent contamination from adjacent non-organic fields, such as pesticide drift.

  • Cultivation Method Standards: During cultivation, no prohibited pesticides or chemical fertilizers are used. Pest and disease control primarily relies on cultural, physical, or biological methods, with approved natural pesticides used only when absolutely necessary.

  • Seed and Seedling Standards: In principle, non-GMO seeds and seedlings compliant with organic standards are used.

  • Production Process Management: Throughout the entire process, from production to shipment, detailed records (such as work logs and material purchase histories) are meticulously kept and managed.

  • Third-Party Inspection: The product undergoes documentation review and on-site inspections by a third-party certifying body registered with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, confirming its compliance with Organic JAS standards.
